Sounds of the Forest

Tuesday 21st June

4-5.30pm
Streatham
Ages 5-10yrs
£15 per child
The workshop takes place on the Summer Solstice and explores the history of the Great North Wood of which Streatham Common used to be a part. The children will learn about the ancient woodland and compare it to the woodland they know today. They will hear the Polish folklore story of the mythical flower which only blooms once on the summer solstice, and use this story to inspire their art.
The workshop has been designed by a Masters of Arts student for her degree at Goldsmiths and you are also invited to attend the exhibition in July (details to follow on booking). Exciting to be a part of this!
Children will all need to have permission for photos and sound recording of their voices. Sounds to be used in the degree show, photos to be used by Earthwild potentially on social media and website.
